The Xiaomi 13 may launch as Xiaomi 14 instead, which is a bit odd
If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see both the phone’s retail box with ‘Xiaomi 14’ branding, and the ‘About Phone’ screenshot which shows some of the device’s specifications. The ‘About Phone’ menu section also says this is the Xiaomi 14, not Xiaomi 13. The box seems to be rather minimalistic, with the phone’s name and Leica branding on the front. This is a regular, white box, and judging by its thickness, Xiaomi has no intention of ditching the charger. The ‘About Phone’ screenshot basically confirms that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. That’s something we already knew, thanks to Xiaomi’s semi-direct confirmation. It also confirms that at least one of the models will offer 12GB of RAM. The Xiaomi 14 will ship with Android 13 out of the box, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 14 on top of it.
The device is expected to include a 6.2-inch display, and offer 67W charging
That’s pretty much everything this leak shared, but we did get more info a while back. The Xiaomi 14 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned for the phone, though considering its display size, it may be a bit smaller than that. We’ll see. 67W fast wired charging is also tipped, while wireless charging will likely be supported too. A 50-megapixel main camera will be included, along with ultrawide and telephoto units. The phone will include a flat display, and a centered display camera hole. Its bezels will be quite thin. Xiaomi will likely use metal and glass for its build. The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to arrive either in late December or early January. Chances are the devices will arrive in late December, though, in China. The global models will launch in Q1 2023.
