The Xiaomi 13 & 13 Pro are tipped to launch sooner than you think

Now, those four model numbers seem to represent the Chinese and global variants of the upcoming Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro flagships. The model numbers in question are 221113C, 2210132C, 2211133G, and 2210132G. The first two numbers are reserved for Chinese variants, while the latter two are for global models. You’ll notice the letter ‘C’ for Chinese variants, and the letter ‘G’ for global models. These IMEIs and model numbers appeared ahead of time. Xiaomiui believes that this means that the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will arrive ahead of time. They could become official in November, about a month sooner than usual. Xiaomi usually releases its flagship smartphones in December.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will likely fuel both phones

Does this mean the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could arrive sooner than expected? Well, it’s possible. Xiaomi’s flagships are usually amongst the first to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon flagship processors, so… there you have it. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will almost certainly include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is highly unlikely those two models will get announced without the mention of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. What’s odd is that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra didn’t even launch yet. Xiaomi is expected to announce that handset in July. That will be the first device as a result of Xiaomi’s new partnership with Leica. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will also include Leica branding and optics, of course. It remains to be seen how much of a difference Leica managed to make for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, though we’re not expecting wonders, as this is the first smartphone following the recent partnership announcement. More Xiaomi 12 Ultra, and 13 series information is expected to arrive soon.
