Xbox Game Pass surpasses 25 million users
This news comes to us from a completely different announcement from Microsoft. It recently acquired Activision Blizzard for a staggering $68.7 billion. In the process of explaining its plans to bring those games to Game Pass, the report pointed to the new milestone that Game Pass just passed. According to that report, there are now more than 25 million users on the platform. This is an increase of about 7 million users over last year’s numbers. This means that the platform is definitely working for Microsoft.
Game Pass is going to get better
What makes Game Pass great is its selection of games you have access to, and that selection might be getting bigger in the coming months. With the aforementioned acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft announced its plans to bring some games from the company to Game Pass. It didn’t specify which games in particular or a time frame to expect, so only time will tell. In the acquisition, Microsoft got franchises like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch. Folks who’ve been wanting to play these games might be enticed to join Game Pass just to play those games. If they sign on for those games, then they’ll be greeted by an extended library of other games they can play.
What is Xbox Game Pass

The lowest tier plan grants you access to games on your Xbox console and it costs $9.99/month. There’s a plan that gets you the same perks as the console but for PC. Along with those, the PC plan also grants you a subscription to EA Play. This plan also costs $9.99/month. If you want to get the ultimate tier, you can get Game Pass Ultimate. For $14.99/month, you get access to the games, Xbox Live Gold, free in-game perks, and you can also play games on Xbox’s cloud gaming platform.
