The Withings ScanWatch is what you’d call a “hybrid” wearable. This means it can offer important health metrics while also acting as a conventional watch. It uses a combination of old-school analog dials, a digital display, and a wide array of sensors for advanced health/fitness tracking features (via). This wearable can detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) using the ECG sensor and notify users if something doesn’t seem right. It also comes with a built-in SpO2 sensor to accurately measure oxygen levels when you’re sleeping while also providing information on the quality of sleep you get each night. Moreover, the onboard PPG sensor conducts a heart rate scan every 10 minutes. The ScanWatch can also help you ascertain your fitness levels using metrics like VO2 Max. The wearable is rated to be water-resistant up to 5ATM while offering up to 30 days of battery life.
The Withings ScanWatch supports Google Fit for easy syncing of health and fitness data
The ScanWatch is available in a stainless-steel case and a sapphire glass watch face, offering plenty of durability and protection. The wearable pairs with your Android or iOS smartphone using the Withings Health Mate app. It also offers integration with Google Fit, so all your fitness data is synced automatically. The ScanWatch can track up to 30 activities, including the ability to measure pace, altitude, and distance. It further provides automatic activity tracking for walking, running, swimming, etc. “At Withings our core mission is to create beautiful devices people choose to use and wear every day so the medical and wellness data they provide can make meaningful impacts on their lives. ScanWatch has been clinically validated to detect AFib. It is our most ambitious watch to date and has the potential to help millions of people track medical and wellness data,” CEO of Withings, Mathieu Letombe said.
