Vivo may offer 200W charging with its next flagship smartphone

The tipster also notes that the charging inside the phone will be backwards compatible with 120W, 80W, and 66W charging from the company. Vivo is also known for including such fast charging bricks with its devices, unlike some other companies out there. The last piece of information he shared is that the battery capacity inside of this phone will be larger than 4,000mAh. That doesn’t really say much, but there you have it. We’re not really sure what device he’s referring to, though. The Vivo X80 Pro is the company’s current flagship, though it did arrive not so long ago. So, there are a couple of options to consider here.

It will likely be included inside the Vivo X80 Pro+ or Vivo X90 Pro

First, the Vivo X80 Pro+ still has a chance to launch. It seems completely unnecessary, though, as the Vivo X80 Pro packs in everything you’d want in a flagship, more or less. The Vivo X80 Pro+ may step things up with faster charging, and some other details, we’ll see. On the other hand, the tipster may be referring to the Vivo X90 Pro already. That device is expected to launch later this year, if Vivo sticks to its release cycle. The company tends to release two flagship smartphone lineups per year. Regardless of whether the Vivo X80 Pro+ or Vivo X90 Pro are in question here, chances are we’re also looking at the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC addition. That is Qualcomm’s newest SoC, and it’s a step up in comparison to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Quite a few smartphones will utilize that chip in the second half of the year. Vivo will likely join the bandwagon. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 comes with slightly better performance. That’s not all, though. It also offers considerably better power consumption, and it’s set to offer better thermal management as well.
