Verizon no longer sells the 512GB storage variant of the Pixel 6 Pro
This is all but surprising, though. Why? Well, that variant wasn’t exactly readily available from Verizon either way. It has been mostly out of stock for the last couple of months. Just to be clear, you can still buy this variant, just not from Verizon. You can buy both its unlocked and Verizon variants from Google, in fact, so getting the Verizon model is not out of the question. When Verizon did sell this phone via its online store, it was priced at $1,099. You could have, of course, opted for a monthly cost of $30.55, over a 36-month period.
The Pixel 7 series is coming later this year
The Pixel 7 series is coming, but it’s nowhere close to launch. Google will likely announce the Pixel 7 series in either September or October, so we’re still quite some time away from that. The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are still viable options, very much so. That’s what makes Verizon’s removal of a 512GB storage option a bit odd, but as already mentioned, considering it was not in stock for quite some time now, it’s not surprising. Google did confirm both the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro during Google I/O 2022. The company even showed renders of both smartphones, from the back. That way, the company jumped ahead of rumors, in a way. Google also confirmed that both smartphones will come with a brand new SoC. The second-gen Google Tensor chip will fuel the company’s phones. It’s coming as a successor to the Google Tensor, which fuels the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and will fuel the Pixel 6a once it becomes available.
