You can now pin your Twitter conversations, as the feature is now free

Do note that this is not a new feature, but it wasn’t free up until now. It was a feature exclusive to Twitter Blue subscribers. It’s really nice to see that it’s now making a transition to everyone, as it can be quite useful. Do note that while Twitter is rolling out the feature, it may not be available to everyone. At the time of writing this article, I was able to access it on my Android phone, but not via the web. So, it may take a couple of days for it to fully roll out. Now, it works a bit differently on iOS and Android. On iOS, you can swipe from left to right across the conversation you’d like to pin. Once you do that, the conversation will be pinned straight away.

Pinning conversations on Android works a bit differently

On Android, the process is a bit longer, for whatever reason. You will need to hold down your finger on the conversation you’d like to pin. Following that, a pop-up menu will appear, and one of the options will be “Pin Conversation”. Once the conversation is pinned, it will appear at the top of your DMs, under a separate section. That way, it’ll always sit at the top of your list. If you pin several conversations, the most recently active one will be first, as is the case with all conversations. One thing to note is that you can only pin six conversations at the moment. We’re not sure if Twitter aims to expand that list or not, but it’s possible this is the number they settled for. If you need more than six of them, you’re out of luck.
