Of course, this is a WiFi 6E router, which means it can take advantage of that 6GHz WiFi band. Giving you even faster speeds than just regular WiFi 6. It is also backwards compatible with WiFi 2.4 and 5. TP-Link says the top speeds for the Archer AXE200 Omni is set at 4.8Gbps on both 5GHz and 6GHz bands. The top speed is about 1,148Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. Of course, you will not see those type of speeds if you put this router in your home. As these speeds are from being in the most perfect environment. There is an ultra-high speed WAN port available, which is capable of handling incoming wired speeds that are up to 10Gbps. There’s an additional Ethernet jack that can handle speeds of up to 2.5Gbps as well.

Pricing and Availability

TP-Link has not listed a price for this router just yet, but given the fact that it is a WiFi 6E router, it’s not gonna be cheap. Add on the motorized self-adjusting antennas, and it’s likely to be around $500 or more. However, this is going to make it a pretty future-proof router, at least for a few years. It is expected to be released later this year, so we should hear more from TP-Link on pricing and availability in the coming months. CES is always full of interesting products that may and may not make their way to store shelves. This is one of those things that will likely be available for sale, but we’ll have to wait and see how those motorized antennas hold up.
