Let’s first say that the design first surfaced last month, as one of OnePlus’ patents was spotted. That design patent showed a phone similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, but with a somewhat different camera on the back.
These patent-based renders show us what the OnePlus 10 Ultra could look like
Well, Letsgodigital partnered up with the Concept Creator in order to bring that design to life, kind of. They took the sketch of the device from the patent, and created some nice-looking renders for us to check out. If OnePlus really plans to base the design of that flagship on that patent, these renders could prove to be quite accurate. You’ll see all of them if you take a look at the gallery below the article. If this design ends up being used, the OnePlus 10 Ultra will resemble its siblings quite a bit. The sensors and belonging hardware inside the camera island will be aligned differently, and be different as well, to a degree. Other than that, the phone will look the same. The camera island will protrude from the phone’s bezel, while the OnePlus logo will be centered on the phone’s back side. Both the back and front sides will be curved towards the sides. Speaking of curves, this phone also features a curved display, as does the OnePlus 10 Pro. We don’t have any specs just yet, though, so we don’t know if the display will be the exact same or not.
This ‘Ultra’ flagship could end up sporting a periscope camera
So, what’s the main difference here? Well, that camera setup, as already mentioned. It seems like the OnePlus 10 Ultra may include a periscope camera on the back, unlike its siblings. In addition to that periscope camera, it will likely include the same main and ultrawide cameras as the OnePlus 10 Pro. In other words, we’re looking at a 48-megapixel main camera, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. This ‘Ultra’ flagship is expected to arrive in the second half of the year. Do note that it’s just rumored at this point.
