But, if you’re a Chroma fanatic, and many-a-Razer fan are, then you’ll love the design of this mouse. Which not only comes with 11 Chroma lighting zones, but a big list of Razer’s best features. Including programmable buttons, optical switches, and much more. At the center of those features is Razer’s new scroll wheel.
The Razer Basilisk V3 comes with a new HyperScroll Tilt Wheel
Razer mice are packed with customization features that amplify your gaming experience. The new Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel is the backbone of customization in this mouse. So users will want to learn it and love it. To start, the technology behind this component isn’t just for gamers. It seems to be extremely useful for everyday tasks too. Thanks to the new Virtual Acceleration feature that Razer implemented, the scroll wheel gets increased mouse speed the faster you spin it. Meaning you can breeze through documents, lists, and webpages at lightning speed. Razer says you can toggle this through the Synapse 3 software. So you should be able to fine tune it if you want to turn things down or adjust it in any way. In addition to the Virtual Acceleration, the Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel features four modes. One that’s automatic and switches between modes, and three unique modes that users can toggle through themselves. These include Tactile Scrolling mode, Smart-Reel mode, and Free-Spin Scrolling mode. Tactile Scrolling is made for high-precision. So you’d want to use this for things like switching through weapon loadouts and player abilities and skills. Smart-Reel is all about the intelligence. Toggle this mode if you want to let the mouse handle switching between Tactile and Free-Spin. Which it will do based on how fast you spin the wheel. Finally, there’s Free-Spin. Which fully utilizes the Virtual Acceleration for high-speed scrolling. It also allows you to emulate repeated game commands.
Program the buttons your way
Aside from the scroll wheel, the Basilisk V3 offers you 10 programmable buttons + a customizable button underneath the mouse for switching between profiles quickly. You can store up to 5 profiles with the included onboard memory too. So once you create them you can move between them with very little effort. The mouse also features Razer’s Optical Switches V2, which are rated for 70 million clicks, an optical sensor with a 26,000 DPI, on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment, and an ergonomic right-handed design with rubber grips on the side to help prevent slipping.
