The Google Pixel Watch just recently launched, and it’s getting into reviewers’ hands. The device is being lauded for its smooth performance, beautiful design, and nice display. Android Headlines did a review on this device, and you can view it here.

The Pixel Watch Faces app is now available on the Google Play store

You can usually download watch faces for your Wear OS device from third-party apps. However, Google wants to bring as much of a first-party experience as possible. Thus, you can now get your watch faces straight from the official app. The thing with this app is that you download it on the watch itself. Other apps need to be downloaded onto the phone. You’d download the face and customize it on your phone and throw it over to the watch. The official Google app cuts out the middleman and lets you assign the watch face right on the watch. You will have access to a plethora of different watch faces that you can apply to your Pixel Watch. They will range from minimalist to intricate. The main ones seem to lean more toward the minimalist side. One of the main draws to this app is the ability to customize your watch faces. We’ll be able to change the look and feel of the faces to give them your own flair. You can also expect deep integration with first-party Google and Fitbit features. For example, one watch face has the Google Assistant logo right in the middle. It seems that you can just tap it to summon the assistant rather than having to use the hot word. Also, we see some health and fitness-related watch faces that display the time, your steps, your heart rate, and a shortcut to the Fitbit app. If you have the Pixel Watch, then it’s definitely worth downloading this app.
