The ‘S Pen Pro’ name actually surfaced in a regulatory filing a while back. We assumed that is the stylus that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will ship with, and that assumption was spot on, it seems.
The S Pen Pro stylus gets shown in an image, and a short video clip
The S Pen Pro stylus surfaced in both an image and a short video. Both of those allow you to check out this stylus up-close-and-personal. If you take a look at the image provided below you’ll see that the stylus has several buttons.
The top button is for toggling the Bluetooth function on and off. Closer to the pen’s tip, you’ll see the pairing button, and the function button. This suggests that the stylus will offer basically everything we’re used to from the Galaxy Note series, and maybe even some new features. The video is shown below.

This stylus is made especially for the Galaxy Z Fold 3
This S Pen is made especially for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, if rumors are to be believed. The Ultra Thin Glass on the device will be considerably stronger than on the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which allowed Samsung to utilize the S Pen with the device. Still, that glass is not as strong as something Samsung would put on a regular (non-foldable) smartphone. Therefore, the company had to create a special stylus that will take it easy on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, in a way. The S Pen Pro is the result of Samsung’s work. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to replace this year’s Galaxy Note handset, as it’s not coming, at all. In addition to the Galaxy S21 Ultra, this is the only smartphone, released this year, that will support the S Pen. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will become official on August 11, alongside the S Pen Pro. The Galaxy Z Flip 3, Watch 4, Watch 4 Classic, and Buds 2 will also launch on that date.
