T-Mobile announces free MLB.TV subscription just before the 2022 season opener
If you’re a Major League Baseball fan, it’s time to play ball! The 2022 season is almost here. The New York Yankees take on the Boston Red Sox in tomorrow’s season opener. And just in time for that, T-Mobile is back with its MLB.TV deal for its customers. Usually a $139.99 subscription, MLB.TV gives you live and on-demand access to all out-of-market regular-season games. You can stream both home and away broadcast feeds in HD on any supported device. You can even pause and rewind the live game. The MLB.TV subscription also includes all the premium features of the MLB app. It is a $19.99 standalone value and provides fans with in-market audio, enhanced pitch-by-pitch tracking, and other MLB content. This is the seventh year of T-Mobile offering free season-long MLB.TV subscription to its customers. And as with previous years, it doesn’t let you stream live games broadcast in your local market. You aren’t getting postseason games either. The 2022 MLB regular season runs through October 5. The postseason begins on October 7. “This year marks a decade of an incredible partnership with Major League Baseball, and T-Mobile’s seventh year of delivering free MLB.TV to Un-carrier customers,” said T-Mobile CMO Mike Katz. “Our customers clearly love baseball … they streamed 36 million hours of MLB.TV last year, making this one of our most popular offers ever.”
