It’s also the first JRPG title in the series. Featuring turn-based combat. Which really brings the Yakuza series to a whole different level of fun. If you don’t already own it, you’ll soon be able to claim it for free and download it in either the PS4 or PS5 version.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will get all 8 Yakuza games
In addition to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, there are seven other Yakuza games in the series. This includes Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Yakuza 5, and Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life. Now the versions of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 coming to the service will be the remastered versions of the games. So you’ll get a pretty good experience with them as they’ll offer some slightly better graphics and a few new features. While all of the games will eventually come to the service, not all of them will be added to PlayStation Plus in August. In addition to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, next month subscribers will get access to Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2. The remaining four games in the series will be added later this year. Sony doesn’t mention exactly when though. So you’ll want to keep an eye out for them.
Not all titles will be available in every service tier
Unfortunately, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will only get to Yakuza: Like A Dragon. So those that want the others will need to upgrade. Additionally, a few of the games are only available in the Premium tier. Those games being the remastered versions of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5. Yakuza 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2, and 6 however, will be available to both Extra and Premium subscribers.
