These Snapchat Spotlight challenges will have major cash prizes
The main point of these Snapchat Spotlight challenges is to entice users into creating content based on certain requirements. Each new challenge will have a prompt like “best trick shot” or “funniest impression,” users will make some Spotlights based on them. The higher your spotlight performs, the higher chance you’ll have of winning some of the money. There isn’t a specified amount of money given to each winner, but there will be a minimum of $250 awarded. Each challenge has a grand pool of money between $1k and $25k.
The judging process will be pretty tough
View count isn’t the only factor that contributes to winning money in these Snapchat Spotlight challenges. Judges will take the 50 highest viewed videos in for consideration, but they will judge them based on other factors. Those 50 videos will then be judged based on their creativity, innovative use of the Snapchat tools, entertainment factor, and their unique point of view. From this pool of 50 videos, only between three and five will be crowned winners.
Here’s how to enter challenges
These challenges officially begin next month. All you have to do is go to the trending section of the Spotlight videos. From there, you will choose the challenge you want to enter. This takes you to the specific challenge’s page where you’ll see information and guidelines. Then, you just tap the camera icon on the page and start creating.
More Snapchat news includes an Among Us clone named Revamp
Snapchat is now much more than just a photo-sharing app. Along with Spotlight videos, you can also play games. Snapchat has a new game coming called Revamp. There’s no getting around the fact that this is a blatant rip-off of Among Us. Your character along with several others is placed into a mansion, and one is surreptitiously a vampire. It’s up to the team to find out which one is a vampire and eliminate them. As the vampire, it’s your job to bite and kill the other players. Players who aren’t the vampire will need to do tasks around the mansion to fix it up. If the players finish all of their tasks, then they win. This game is not out just yet, but it should launch relatively soon.
