Samsung Wallet merges Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass for a one-stop solution for all of the company’s digital services. It lets you store your credit and debit cards to make secure payments. You can also store membership cards, loyalty cards, store coupons, and gift cards and use them conveniently in stores. Additionally, it serves as a password manager to save your login credentials for websites and apps. If you have a supported car or smart locks, you can use this app to store and share digital keys as well. On top of this, Samsung Wallet lets you store digital copies of flight tickets, boarding passes, vaccination certificates, movie tickets, ID cards, health passes, cryptocurrency data, and more. Of course, not all of these features will be available at launch, but the new app will offer everything that Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass currently boast. And all of this is secured with the Samsung Knox security platform and biometric fingerprint identification. “Samsung Wallet makes using everyday smartphone functions even more convenient – from mobile payments to digital keys. We plan to add more features to Samsung Wallet together with our partners in the future in order to be able to offer users easy and secure access to technologies,” said Dario Casari, Country Manager at Samsung Switzerland.
Samsung Wallet is gradually reaching more markets
Samsung launched this integrated app in June of this year. The new app was initially released in China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, the UK, and the US. The company announced its plans to bring Wallet to 13 more countries a few weeks back. The list included Switzerland too, with the other 12 names being Bahrain, Denmark, Finland, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Sweden, Vietnam, and UAE. Samsung may release it in more markets in the coming months. Meanwhile, if you live in any of these countries and use a Samsung Pay-compatible Galaxy smartphone, the Wallet app should be available to you soon if it hasn’t already. Once available, you will be notified about it in Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass. You can continue using these apps separately until you download the new integrated app. You can click the button below to check if Samsung Wallet is available in your region or supported by your Galaxy smartphone.
