The leak (via MySmartPrice) goes on to reveal that the Galaxy Wide5 could be a rebranded variant of the Galaxy A22 5G. The phone will reportedly launch in India under the Galaxy F42 5G moniker. The Google Play Console reveals that the Galaxy Wide5 will sport a display resolution of 1080 x 2009, while the size is unspecified. The smartphone will feature the MediaTek MT6833V processor, otherwise known as the Dimensity 700. This will be backed by a Mali G57 GPU.
The Galaxy Wide5 will bear a close resemblance to the Galaxy A22 5G
The Galaxy Wide5 sports 6GB of RAM while running on Android 11 by default, coupled with Samsung’s One UI 3.1. While camera specs are unavailable, an image of the phone reveals that it bears a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. Based on the assumption that the Galaxy Wide5 shares hardware specs with the Galaxy A22 5G, we can estimate what the specs sheet will look like. One can expect a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen backed with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone should also feature 48MP+5MP+2MP triple rear cameras and an 8MP waterdrop notch selfie camera. Customers can also expect a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Since this is only a listing on the Google Play Console, we don’t have a definitive timeline of its arrival yet. However, the fact that it is appearing on a certification database indicates that it’s not too far away. While Samsung’s high-end smartphones make a lot of noise in the industry, its mid-range and budget smartphones are equally popular. As for the Galaxy Wide5, it’s currently unclear as to where it’s headed. This phone will launch in India as the Galaxy F42 5G not too long from now, as per sources. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy F22 in July this year as a rebranded variant of the Galaxy A22. However, there was one significant difference between the two – the battery. While the Galaxy A22 offered a 5,000 mAh battery, the new Galaxy F22 added a 6,000 mAh unit. The rest of the hardware specs remained unchanged.
