The Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ have very similar specs, with the differences being in the display and battery departments. So, let’s talk about those differences first, shall we. The Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch WQXGA 2560 x 1600 LED display. This display has a 120Hz refresh rate, by the way. The Galaxy Tab S8+, on the other hand, features a 12.4-inch WQXGA+ 2800 x 1752 Super AMOLED display. This panel also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. So, it’s larger, sharper, and also an OLED panel, unlike the Galaxy Tab S8’s. The Galaxy Tab S8 has an 8,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S8+ offers a 10,090mAh unit. Fast charging is supported for both devices, though we still don’t know how fast exactly. The Galaxy Tab S8 measures 253.7 x 165.3 x 6.35mm, while it weighs 499 grams. The Galaxy Tab S8+ measures 284.9 x 184.9 x 5.59mm, and weighs 576 grams. That’s basically where the differences end. Both tablets are fueled by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 SoC, depending on where you buy them. Both come with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. You can expand their storage, by the way. The camera setups are also identical. On the back, you’re getting a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 6-megapixel ultrawide unit. On the front, you’ll find a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. The Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ include four AKG speakers, and Dolby Atmos support. A Type-C USB 3.2 port sits at the bottom, while Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and WiFi 6E are all supported here. Both devices come with a fingerprint scanner, and an S Pen stylus. The stylus magnetizes to the tablets, it does not include its own dock inside them, like the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra specifications
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra differs from its siblings a bit. It comes with a display notch, which is quite interesting. Other than that, it looks like its siblings, but it’s larger, considerably larger. Speaking of which, it measures 326.3 x 208.5 x 5.59mm, and weighs 725.7 grams. As you can see, it’s also quite a bit heavier. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra features a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ 2960 x 1848 Super AMOLED display. This is a 120Hz display, by the way. The device comes in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM options, with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of internal storage, respectively. And yes, you can expand the storage of this tablet. Much like its siblings, this tablet is also fueled by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200. You can’t choose between the two, though, that will depend on in which market you buy the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. An 11,200mAh battery sits on the inside, and the tablet supports fast charging. We still don’t know the exact numbers, though. There are four AKG speakers included here, and Dolby Atmos is supported. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has two cameras on the back, and two on the front. On the back, it includes a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 6-megapixel ultrawide camera. On the front, a 12-megapixel fixed focus camera is paired with a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. The device does support Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6E, and it has a Type-C USB 3.2 port like its siblings. It also includes an S Pen like its siblings, which magnetizes to the tablet. A fingerprint scanner is included, and facial scanning is supported via the front-facing camera(s).
