In a virtual invitation published on Samsung Newsroom, the company said it will showcase a new era of connected mobile devices at MWC 2022. It didn’t go into much detail but said its new products will redefine “the future of how we work and how we learn.” Samsung has also posted a teaser for its MWC 2022 show. But it appears to be a generic one since it shows all its modern mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, foldables, smartwatches, tablets, and the S Pen. Perhaps the company will have a lot of software-related announcements about its Galaxy ecosystem. The Korean behemoth wants to cement its place as a global leader in the connected experience space. That said, Samsung also has a few hardware products in the works at the very moment. The likes of Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 have been picking up regulatory approvals thick and fast lately. So they could see the light of day at the mega event later this month. Chances of new Galaxy wearables such as smartwatches and TWS earbuds coming out at MWC 2022 are slim though. We should hear more about this as we approach the event.

Samsung will also have a virtual presence at MWC 2022

The last couple of years hasn’t been normal by any means. The COVID-19 pandemic affected everyone and everything, including MWC. The 2021 edition of the event was postponed to June due to the pandemic. MWC 2020 was canceled altogether due to the same reason. While the show is returning to its usual time slot of February this year, several big names including Sony and Lenovo have pulled out from having a physical presence at the event. They are going fully virtual over coronavirus concerns. Samsung has now also confirmed that it will not be having a presence on the floor at MWC 2022. The show organizers GSMA, meanwhile, are still planning an in-person event for those who are willing to come. As things stand, MWC 2022 will begin on February 28 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona. The exhibition will run through March 3. You can find more details about the scheduling of the mega event on the official website.
