While Razer will eventually expand this line of products to include just about everything you need to build a powerful gaming machine, it’s starting small with just a few PC components. The Razer Kunai, Razer Katana, and Razer Hanbo. As well as a PWM PC Fan Controller. Together with Razer’s already available Tomahawk PC cases, PC gaming enthusiasts can be well on their way to building the perfect desktop. Razer states that it also built a new team around this particular product segment, calling it a “major initiative” for the company. The team will be led by Richard Hashim, who’s had a hand in launching numerous high-end PC gaming products over the years. Including with Corsair, where he worked for 17 years from 1995 to 2012.
Razer will begin selling its gaming PC components this month
Whether you’re in the market for a couple of upgrades or starting from scratch, you can start building with Razer right away. The company will begin selling its new gaming PC components this month. The rollout begins with the Kunai (fans designed for maximum airflow) and the PWM PC Fan Controller. Both of which go on sale today, October 21. The Kunai retails for $44.99 and the PWM Fan Controller retails for $49.99. Then in November, Razer will begin selling the Hanbo, its All-In-One Liquid Cooler in 240mm and 360mm sizes. Razer hasn’t announced a price for this yet. But that information should pop up closer to the product’s release. The last component is the Katana, which is Razer’s platinum-rated ATX power supply. It comes in both 740W and 1600W variants. It’ll go on sale in January of 2022 through Razer and authorized retail partners, although Razer hasn’t announced a price for this yet either. Naturally, all of the components (save for the PWM Fan Controller) are equipped with Razer Chroma RGB. And each component should fit in both sizes of Razer’s Tomahawk PC case, which comes in a Mid-Tower ATX version and a Mini-ITX version.
