The company sent the OnePlus 10 Pro into the stratosphere The company published a new YouTube video in which it shows the process and the results. This happened through the ‘Capture the Horizon’ campaign. The phones, of course, captured some pictures while they were up there. OnePlus sent the phones 38,000 meters up into the stratosphere, and along their journey, the phones endured wind speeds of 200km/h, and temperatures down to minus 60 degrees....

The OnePlus 10T 5G teaser image appeared online It has been published by Pricebaba, and provided to the site by a “trusted tipster”. The image you can check out below shows the ‘Moonstone Black’ model of the OnePlus 10T 5G. You will notice that the back side of the phone is shown here, and that OnePlus’ logo is once again in the middle. Now, there seems to be an interesting pattern included on the back....

This year, however, the OnePlus 10T takes a slightly different approach. It’s a cheaper, and less premium flagship phone from OnePlus. It removes quite a few things, to bring the price down to $649. That’s a full $250 less than the OnePlus 10 Pro was at launch (with the 10T announcement, the 10 Pro is now $799 permanently). But the real question is, did OnePlus cut out to much from the 10T to hit this price point?...

OPPO’s very first foldable smartphone may look similar to the Huawei Mate X What makes us think that? Well, one of OPPO’s foldable smartphone designs has surfaced on a patent website. Based on this design, OPPO is working on an outwards-folding smartphone, with a rather large main display. This design appeared at CNIPA, China’s equivalent to WIPO. This handset actually resembles a prototype OPPO had a couple of years ago, back in 2019, I believe....

The report comes from Nikkei (via), which cites two people familiar with OPPO’s plans to launch custom flagship SoCs. This chipset will reportedly arrive by 2023 or 2024, although it is dependent “on the speed of development.” The Chinese OEM reportedly wants to leverage TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing process for this new chipset. OPPO currently uses chipsets produced by MediaTek and Qualcomm, a practice that’s followed by practically every Chinese smartphone manufacturer....

The exact purpose of the new variant isn’t immediately clear. There is some speculation that it will be a secondary version of the app that’s already available in some regions. Or, conversely, that it will signal the rollout to further regions. That’s while potentially replacing the current version of the app. The latter seems more likely since the ‘new’ app shares the same name. The app is slated to arrive generally sometime this month....

Plex is notifying its users of the data breach over email. Funnily enough, Troy Hunt of Have I Been Pwned, a website that allows anyone to check whether their personal data available on online platforms has been compromised by data breaches, was also “pwned”. He shared a screenshot of the email he received on Twitter. In the email, Plex states that the bad actor only accessed a limited subset of its user data....
