The renders showed the phone with even bezels on all four sides of the display. This uniform display design gives the device a sleeker look. Samsung did offer uniform bezels on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ this year, but not on the Galaxy S22 Ultra....

The upcoming rugged tablet from Samsung recently surfaced on the FCC database with the model number SM-T636B. This is the 5G variant of the device. The tablet is expected to sport a 10.4-inch display with Full HD resolution and support for Samsung’s S Pen. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G processor will power the device, with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It features a micro SD card slot for expandable storage....

This release doesn’t bring any new features or improvements to the device, which isn’t surprising since it comes right on the heels of the Android 13 update. It’s all about the latest vulnerability fixes. The Korean firm should soon expand this release to other regions, including the US....

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 started picking up the October SMR (Security Maintenance Release) last week. Following the initial rollout in Asia, Samsung expanded the update to Europe, Africa, Latin America, and now, the US. Both carrier-locked and unlocked units are receiving the update stateside. The new firmware version is F936USQS1AVII and F936U1UES1AVII, respectively. The Galaxy Z Flip 4, meanwhile, is just starting to receive the October SMR. Samsung has so far released this month’s security patch for the latest clamshell foldable in its homeland South Korea and the US....

For the uninitiated, OOKLA is the company behind the popular internet speed testing service SpeedTest. It recently analyzed the 5G performance of several popular devices to determine the five fastest 5G smartphones in the US. The study found that Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max offers the fastest 5G speeds stateside. The device delivered a median 5G download speed of 177.21 Mbps and an upload speed of 19.28 Mbps during the test....
