This is NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service, and it’s been working great thus far. Now, players can play Fortnite on their phones using this platform, as Epic Games added touch controls; up until now, you could only play the game using a Bluetooth controller. I tried out these touch controls, and here’s my experience. First off, you’re not playing the mobile version of the game Since this is a cloud-based game, Fortnite is rendered on the company’s servers and streamed right to your device....

For starters, Instagram is converting all new videos that are shorter than 15 minutes into Reels. Any video that you upload to the platform following this change will be shared as a Reel. As such, you will have access to editing tools and effects available while creating Reels. Existing videos on the app will see no change. They will remain as is. Instagram was spotted testing this feature a few weeks back....

iRobot says this model is designed for busy households with a mixture of carpets, rugs and hard floors. iRobot also claims that “unlike other 2-in-1s, the Roomba Combo j7+ vacuums rugs and carpets first and then vacuums and mops hard floors concurrently, saving users time by cleaning the area in a single job.” Which is really only partially true. Most 2-in-1 vacuums will vacuum and mop concurrently. iRobot is saying here that this is the only one that will prioritize the carpets and rugs before moving to hardwood and tile floors....

Jabra makes all sorts of high-quality audio devices to treat your ears. There’s usually a premium price tag attached to these devices, but all of the Prime Day shenanigans have knocked off some serious coin from the prices. Let’s start off with the TWS earbuds. The company is offering four lines of earbuds at deep discounts. The Elite 3 earbuds are just $47.49 (down from 79.99). The Elite 4 Active are $89....

According to the updated security bulletin on Samsung’s website, this month’s SMR contains no less than 52 CVE items (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) from Google. At least two of those vulnerabilities, which have been fixed now, were of critical severity. Meaning, they could potentially cause critical damages to users if exploited in the wild. Google also patched 36 high-risk vulnerabilities with the January 2022 SMR. Nine other CVE items, which are part of the latest Android security patch, don’t apply to Samsung devices....

GOS, as the name suggests, is an app that optimizes the performance of the device while gaming. This is to preserve the battery life and keep the device from overheating, at least that’s what Samsung claimed. But in reality, it does something inexplicable. For one, GOS doesn’t limit this so-called optimization to gaming apps. It extends to several other popular non-game apps as well, including Instagram, TikTok, and Netflix. Worse yet, the optimization is so aggressive that it prevents apps from running at their full potential....

The leaked 3C documentation lists the 15W EP-TA200 charger for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the 25W EP-TA800 charger. While the document confirms that the smartphone is compatible with both charging speeds, it doesn’t specify if the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will come with a 25W charger in the box. As SamMobile points out, Samsung is likely to include a 15W charger in the box to cut costs. This revelation about support for 25W charging is significant since it was previously believed that the phone might only support up to 15W....

Tipster reveals key ROG Phone 6D series specs ASUS has already confirmed that the ROG Phone 6D series will feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000+ chipset. It is essentially an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9000. Rumors are that the upcoming ASUS gaming phones will further increase the clock speed of the Cortex-X2 CPU core on the chipset. The company is seemingly banking on its new and advanced cooling system to keep things under control....

In fact, the official shutdown was back in 2020. With new features added to the most recent, still-active variation of the service — not Legacy — as recently as December. So the loss of even more features for Google Voice in its Legacy web version should come as no surprise. But those still using the older service may want to finally consider moving on. It will offer a useful split-screen mode that will keep all of the essential elements on one screen. For example, you can have your media player take up one part of the screen. Researchers at software security company Checkmarx discovered the vulnerability in the Ring Android app. According to the firm, bugs in the app allowed other apps on the same device access to its content. Along with video recordings and geolocation, it could also leak the user’s personal information, including full name, email, phone number, and address. While developers of trusted apps wouldn’t look to exploit this vulnerability, bad actors could trick users to install malicious apps and gain access to the Ring app‘s content....

First and foremost, it’s not going to come with any bells or whistles, as to be expected. In recent months, Microsoft has been dealing with criticism from cybersecurity experts over handling the vulnerabilities. The company also recently gave written testimony to a House Intelligence Committee hearing over commercial spyware and cyber surveillance. The latest buzz around Microsoft is an Austrian company that used Windows exploits for creating and selling spyware. According to a blog post by Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC), the Austrian company is known as DSIRF and has been under-tracking with the codename KNOTWEED....

The phone, or phablet, itself, had its share of issues. Some even carried over from the previous Surface Duo generation. At least on the software side, there is some good news. Notably, according to Windows Central, Microsoft is rolling out the latest June 2022 OTA update for the Surface Duo 2 device. The Motorola Moto X40 flagship will launch next month, and some specs have just been confirmed Lenovo executive, Chen Jin, went to Weibo (a Chinese social network) to confirm some of the phone’s specs. As most of you know, Motorola is owned by Lenovo, so this is basically an official confirmation. Jin confirmed that the Motorola Moto X40 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. That is what we expected, but it’s nice to get a confirmation, that’s for sure....

Over the past couple of months, Wordle has been turning people on to word puzzles, and there have been a lot of different takes on the same formula. There was a game where you’d guess the name of a song using the Wordle style of play. Heck, people were even able to get Wordle to run on Gameboy consoles.
