Samsung says 2nm processor mass production will take a few years Several companies including Intel have been working on manufacturing thinner silicon, and Samsung is one of them. The company is simultaneously working on 3nm chips and 2nm chips, as both are pretty hard to do. Samsung was able to have some prototypes for a 3nm chip as early as 2019, and it was able to get them to its partners....
This chipset could be less powerful compared to the Exynos 1080, according to Ice Universe. We also learn that the Exynos 1280 may feature 5G connectivity. There’s no information on the CPU cores or the fabrication process at the moment. But we expect to learn more about this new chip in the coming weeks. As SamMobile notes, a bulk of Samsung phones and tablets run on Qualcomm or MediaTek chipsets....
According to the report, Samsung is estimating consolidated sales revenue of approximately KRW 77 trillion (roughly $63.2 billion) for Q1 2022. That’s up 17.8 percent from KRW 65.39 trillion it made during the same period last year. The company had posted an all-time high quarterly consolidated revenue of KRW 76.57 trillion in Q4 2021, i.e. the last quarter. It is now looking to top that in the first quarter of 2022....

The latest update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra is rolling out in Europe with firmware version G98FXXSFGVK1 for the 4G models and G98BXXSFGVK1 for their 5G counterparts, SamMobile reports. According to SamMobile, who first reported this rollout, the Galaxy S20 FE (4G) is receiving the January SMR with firmware version G780FXXS8DVA1 for the Exynos 990-powered units. The same update for the Snapdragon 865 version of the phone is rolling out with firmware version G780GXXS3BVA5. The latest update for the 2020 Fan Edition Galaxy flagship is already available in dozens of countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Users in other markets, including the US, can also expect to receive the update in the coming weeks....
Samsung began the Android 12-based One UI Core 4.1 rollout for the Galaxy A11 early last month. The update was initially released in Asia, followed by other international markets. Users in the US are also getting the new Android version today. The update is live for both carrier-locked and unlocked units stateside, with firmware versions A115USQU7CVI3 and A115U1UEU7CVJ2, respectively (via). It isn’t a wide rollout yet, though.
