There’s HDR here too, with HDR and HLG compatibility, however there is no mention of Dolby Vision. Which is rather unfortunate as that would have been incredible at this price point. There is also 3D support available in side-by-side, top and bottom and frame sequential modes. Optoma says that you can expect to get around 15,000 hours of use from the included bulb if you use the Dynamic Black mode. It can also project up to a 300-inch image. But remember this is not an ultra-short throw projector, so you’ll need a ton of space for that full 300-inch picture.
It’s also great for gaming
The Optoma UHD55 is great for gaming, but unfortunately there is no HDMI 2.1 port. That is probably not an issue for anyone looking to game on a projector. As you probably wouldn’t know its 120Hz anyways. Since projectors aren’t quite as crisp as a TV. But you are limited to 4K 60Hz here on the UHD55. The Optoma UHD55 goes on sale today for $1,799. That is a pricey projector, but given the specs here, that’s not too bad. Optoma UHD55 - Optoma.com
