When it comes to the design, it does resemble its predecessor to a degree. The camera island on the back has a different shape, but the overall design is quite similar. The device is made out of metal and ceramic.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro features a curved display, and very powerful specs
The OPPO Find X5 Pro features a curved display, with a centered display camera hole. Its bezels are quite thin, and all of its physical buttons sit on the right-hand side. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package.
The device features a 6.7-inch QHD+ (3216 x 1440) LTPO AMOLED display, which is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus. This display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, and it does have variable refresh rate support. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC fuels the phone, and that is Qualcomm’s most powerful processor to date. The phone includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. OPPO used LPDDR5 RAM here, and UFS 3.1 flash storage.
Three cameras sit on the back, while OPPO included its custom NPU as well
There are three cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX766 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 6P lens, 80-degree FoV). A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX766 sensor, f/2.2 aperture), and a 13-megapixel telephoto camera (Samsung’s S5K3M5 sensor, f/2.4 aperture) are also included.
A single camera sits on the front side, a 32-megapixel (Sony’s IMX709 sensor, 5P lens, 90-degree FoV, f/2.4 aperture) unit. Android 12 comes pre-installed, along with ColorOS 12.1. The OPPO Find X5 Pro comes with OPPO’s custom MariSilicon X NPU. That chip is expected to boost photography quite a bit, as OPPO had a lot to say about it when it was launched. It will be interesting to see what it will offer. The phone does offer dual SIM support, it has one nano SIM card slot, and eSIM support. It is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while it includes a set of stereo speakers. Dolby Atmos support is also included.
A 5,000mAh battery is included, along with extremely fast charging (both wired & wireless)
A 5,000mAh battery can be found inside of this phone, while the device supports 80W fast wired charging. 50W wireless charging is also supported, by the way. The OPPO Find X5 Pro measures 163.7 x 73.9 x 8.5mm, while it weighs 218 grams. The price is still unknown. UPDATE: The prices have been announced. The OPPO Find X5 Pro will become available starting from March 14, for €1,299.
