Specs for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G seem pretty robust
OnePlus’ more premium midrange phones tend to bring middle-of-the-road features with a few flagship goodies sprinkled in. This is the case for the Nord CE 2 Lite. This phone will come with a large 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that can run at 90Hz. It’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 695 with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GBof storage. The rear of the Nord CE 2 Lite will have three cameras, but only two of them are primary cameras. This phone has a 64MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP monochrome camera. Upfront, there will be a 16MP selfie camera. As for battery and charging, a large 5,000mAh will power this phone, which is the same size as the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s battery. It will also support up to 33W fast charging. This phone will launch with Android 11 out of the box running under OxygenOS 11; it’ll most likely get the update to Android 12 at some point. Unfortunately, this phone won’t come with a headphone jack and the alert slider is also missing.
We don’t know when this phone will launch
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite has some nice specs for a mid-range phone, and that continues the OnePlus Nord’s trend. The RAM and storage options should satisfy most people and the battery will offer great longevity. The software lags behind some of the modern phones, but it should still suffice. We’re sure that it will launch sometime in the near future, but we just don’t know when. When it does launch, it will most likely be sold in the Indian market and a few others. The Nord CE 2 5G will launch in India on February 17th, so we could see the Lite version launch shortly after.
In Other OnePlus News: OxygenOS 13 will actually launch
We all thought that there wouldn’t be any new versions of OxygenOS after OnePlus and Oppo merged. The two companies merged last year, and they planned on combining OxygenOS and ColorOS into one Android skin. However, on a OnePlus forum, the company said that it’s holding another Open Ears Forum, and the main topic will be OxygenOS 13. It seems that the company wants to introduce one more iteration of the skin before the eventual merger. People can apply to be a part of the discussion. They will be able to talk directly to the developers and give their thoughts on what the software should include. People can apply from today until February 18th.
