Alert Slider has been one of the integral features of OnePlus smartphones over the years. But the company removed it from the OnePlus 10R and 10T flagships last year. Only the OnePlus 10 Pro had it. Rumors suggested OnePlus plans to reserve the tech for “Pro” models only and also lend it to its sister firm OPPO, which it merged with last year. It appears those reports were true. The OnePlus 11 Pro will have the extra physical key, at least according to these renders based on an early prototype of the phone. Going by this, the OnePlus 11R and 11T, if they arrive next year, will not have the alert slider. Another thing to note is that OnePlus is once again teaming up with Hasselblad for OnePlus 11 Pro cameras. The company partnered with the Swedish camera company for this year’s Pro model but not the other to OnePlus 10 series devices. Not that it brings substantial changes to the photo quality, but this appears to be another perk reserved for the top-of-the-line model. Hopefully, it will not just be a marketing gimmick and brings some value to consumers.
OnePlus 11 Pro gets an unusual camera layout
The OnePlus 11 Pro will feature three cameras at the back. All three sensors and an LED flash unit are housed in an unusual circular island that extends from the frame. It appears to be a semi-pill but with a separate circle within, something we haven’t seen before. The front-facing camera is still a left-aligned punch-hole on the display. Not much else is known about the OnePlus 11 pro at the moment, though it should be safe to assume that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. But it’s unclear if OnePlus has finalized this rear camera design or if it’s just a prototype. Things should get clearer once leaks start coming thick and fast.
