It’s official, the OnePlus 11 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
OnePlus has confirmed the news via Weibo. The OnePlus 11 will be amongst the first smartphones to utilize this processor. As a reminder, the OnePlus 11 is expected to launch in January, in China. Its global launch will probably follow, a couple of months after, as it did with the OnePlus 10 Pro last year. If we had to guess, we’d say that the global launch will take place in late February or March. OnePlus will most likely announce just one flagship phone in Q1 2023, as it did last year. This time around, however, that phone won’t have the ‘Pro’ branding, at least based on a recent report. This will still be a flagship phone aka a ‘Pro’ phone, but without the ‘Pro’ branding. OnePlus seems to be planning to make things a bit simpler, and that may not be a bad idea.
The phone’s design surfaced a while back
The OnePlus 11 already surfaced in CAD-based renders. Some of its specifications also appeared. It will resemble the OnePlus 10 Pro, but OnePlus will make some changes just so that it stands out design-wise. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the company is expected to utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with OxygenOS 13. A 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display will be used, and it will be curved. That will be an LTPO panel, while the phone will also offer stereo speakers. The OnePlus 11 is also expected to offer 100W fast wired charging, and 50W fast wireless charging. Reverse wireless charging will also be on offer.
