A new patent suggests the OnePlus 10 Ultra may not be dead after all
This patent appeared on CNIPA, which is China’s equivalent to the FCC. It has been spotted by IT Home, and it shows the device in question in some drawings as well. Needless to say, this looks like the OnePlus 10 Pro, and the upcoming OnePlus 10T 5G. What you will notice here, however, is that the phone is equipped with a periscope camera, due to a rectangular cutout on the back. That is a feature of premium phones, and one that the OnePlus 10 Pro doesn’t have. On top of that, the alert slider is included as well. It is present on the OnePlus 10 Pro as well, but not the OnePlus 10T 5G. OnePlus will keep the alert slider exclusive to some premium phones moving forward, it seems.
This phone includes a periscope camera, and an alert slider
So, could this be the OnePlus 10 Ultra? Well, it’s possible, but nothing guarantees it. In fact, this could just as easily be the OnePlus 11 Pro, or something of the sort, if OnePlus decides to keep the design identical. That’s not as likely, though. It’s more likely it’s another premium phone from the OnePlus 10 series, so the OnePlus 10 Ultra remains a possibility, despite the fact some trusted sources said that the OnePlus 10T 5G is the only high-end OnePlus phone that will launch this year (following the OnePlus 10 Pro).
If the phone does launch, it will include the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 & 160W charging
We’ll have to wait and see. If the OnePlus 10 Ultra does become a reality, it will be a true powerhouse. Not only will it include a periscope camera, but it will ship with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. On top of that, a large battery is expected, along with blazing fast charging, like 160W charging, like the OnePlus 10T 5G will deliver. Unlike the OnePlus 10T 5G, the OnePlus 10 Ultra will include fast wireless charging (50W), if the phone ever becomes a reality. We’ll have to wait and see. For the time being, though, the OnePlus 10 Ultra is still a huge question mark.
