But that’s not it. According to a SamMobile report that compiles user complaints on Samsung’s official forums in South Korea, which is where the stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 was first released, users are also facing issues such as screen flickering and slow performance. The Dual Messenger feature is not working on all apps for some users, while some others complain of images getting automatically deleted from the gallery. Users are also having issues with video streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube. The apps reportedly don’t work following the One UI 4.0 update. The phones’ default camera app isn’t working either for some Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 users. There have also been reports of other camera-related issues. Additionally, One UI 4.0 reportedly has some Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 units stuck on a 60Hz screen refresh rate. The dark mode isn’t working properly for some others. Last but not least, users are also complaining of bad audio quality.

The stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3 is full of bugs

As these user complaints suggest, the latest One UI 4.0 release for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 has way too many bugs for it to be called a stable build. Maybe Samsung should have released one more beta build before rolling out the update publicly. Anyways, the Korean giant has now reportedly stopped the rollout to limit the damage. You can expect the company to resume the update after it has fixed all those bugs. Hopefully, it wouldn’t take Samsung too long. Meanwhile, if you’re using a Galaxy Z Fold 3 or a Galaxy Z Flip 3 and have an OTA (over the air) update pending download, you might want to avoid installing it. We advise you to wait until Samsung resumes the One UI 4.0 update for the two foldables. We will keep you posted.
