Today’s GeForce NOW update doesn’t just bring 120fps cloud gaming to more Android devices though. It is a GeForce NOW Thursday after all which means there’s more games to play too. So whatever device you play on, you’ll have a wider selection of titles to choose from. Provided you own the games that are being added today.
GeForce NOW 120fps cloud gaming will support all Android devices with a 120fps display
Initially, 120fps was only available on a limited number of handsets from a handful of manufacturers. Including Google, ASUS, OnePlus, and Samsung to name a few. Then back in June, NVIDIA began rolling the support out to all devices but only for a limited number of users. Now though, the feature is rolling out broadly which means just about everyone should have access soon. The only other requirement is that you need to be subscribed to the RTX 3080 tier of the service. It costs $20 a month but it’s the only tier that offers the higher refresh rate. And while 60fps from the priority tier isn’t bad, the 120fps definitely makes games smoother.
Ten new games are being added this week
Earlier we mentioned new games, and there are ten of them being added to the service this week. This includes Hell Pie, a new release on Steam and the Epic Games Store as of July 21. Additionally, Endling – Extraction Is Forever, Hazel Sky, Panzer Arena: Prologue, TombStar, Curious Expedition 2, Darksiders Genesis, Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue, Wildemyth, and Outward Definitive Edition are being added as well. Lastly, if you play Fortnite, you’re going to want to play via GeForce NOW sometime between today and August 4. If you do, then on August 11 NVIDIA will be sending you out the Dish-stroyer Pickaxe item for use in-game.
