The Nubia Z40 Pro launch date has been revealed along with a ton of additional info
Nubia already confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will fuel the device. On top of that, Sony’s IMX787 sensor has been mentioned as well. That is a rather interesting, and powerful sensor, which will sit behind a 35mm lens. You can also expect OIS support, and omni-directional autofocus here. All of that should be able to reduce image distortion by 35-percent, gather 80-percent more light, and improve picture clarity by 78-percent, based on what’s reported. This camera combo does seem very interesting. You can expect an f/1.6 aperture lens here, paired with a 1/1.3-inch outsole. Do note that the aforementioned 35mm lens will be a custom lens made for the device.
The company’s exec even shared a camera sample
The company’s exec already shared a camera sample from the phone, and it looks really good. Now, we’ll have to wait for the phone to actually become available, to see what it’s truly capable of. The camera setup does have our attention, though. That’s not the end of the features that were teased, though. The Nubia Z40 Pro will have a 300x better heat dissipation coefficient for sustained performance. On top of that, it will become the first commercially available Android smartphone to offer magnetic wireless charging. The Nubia Z40 Pro also surfaced on Geekbench, with a single-core score of 1228, and a multi-core score of 3,379. Nubia will almost certainly include LPDDR5 RAM here, along with UFS 3.1 flash storage. We’re expecting a rather interesting design, on top of everything else. This phone will launch in China, and it remains to be seen if it will leave its homeland.
