Branching out is healthy for companies, as it gives them a foothold in multiple markets. OnePlus is collaborating with a company called Keychron to make a keyboard. At this point, we don’t really know what the keyboard will look like or what added functionality it will provide other than just being a keyboard. All we do know is that it is going to be mechanical.
OnePlus is making computer monitors
This is definitely coming out of left field, as we’re used to only seeing mobile OnePlus devices. Aside from phones, OnePlus has also made its OnePlus watch and OnePlus band. But, the company is no stranger to surprising us with something new. For example, the company released the Q1 Pro Smart TV back in 2019. Now, OnePlus is giving us computer monitors. According to Android Central, OnePlus has veiled the X27 and E24 computer monitors that are aimed at gamers. Let’s start off with the E24. This is a 24-inch monitor with a 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD panel that refreshes at 75Hz. As for ports, it has an HDMI 1.4 port and a USB type-c port. This is the more budget-friendly option of the two monitors, but OnePlus has not shared the exact price of this model. Moving on to the more premium X27 model, we get a few more perks. For starters, it has a large 27-inch display with a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) and a higher 165Hz refresh rate, though it is still an IPS LCD display. Also, this monitor has VESA’s DisplayHDR 400 standard. Moving on to ports, this monitor has an HDMI 2.1 port, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB type-C port, a 2.5 mm headphone jack, and two USB 3 connectors. That’s definitely a more robust array than on the E24. Also, what makes this monitor stick out is the fact that it can be rotated 90 degrees to sit vertically. Unlike with the E24, OnePlus did provide the price for this monitor. This monitor will be available in India on December 15th for the price of ₹27999. That’s the equivalent of about $340 US. This seems to be a pretty nice pair of monitors with some neat features. If you’re a OnePlus fan, then you may want to consider getting one of these monitors.
