The images show the Moto G 5G 2022 in all of its mid-range glory
The images here aren’t concepts; they’re official images, so what you see is what you get. Starting off, this phone is not going to be winning any awards for design or build quality. The back looks to be made of plastic with a brushed metal texture added for flair. The Motorola logo is right in the middle of the phone with the camera module on the upper left. The volume rocker and the power button are on the right side of the phone in classic Motorola fashion. Housed within that power button will be a fingerprint scanner. The placement of the power and volume buttons might be a bit high for most people’s taste, but it doesn’t seem to be as bad as the Moto Edge+ 2022. On the bottom of the device, we don’t see anything special. There’s the USB-C port, the speaker, a microphone, and what looks like a headphone jack.
What specs will this phone have?
Since this is going to be a mid-range phone, we know that it’s not going to have the most robust specs. The SoC is expected to be a MediaTek Dimensity 700 backed up by either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. There will be two storage configurations (64GB and 256GB). As for the display, this phone looks to have a 6.53-inch 720p+ display. The resolution is low, but it will have a respectable 90Hz refresh rate. What’s more than respectable is the expected 5,000mAh battery. That battery will charge at a decent 15W. The camera package will consist of three sensors on the back. There will be a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, there will be a 13MP selfie camera.
