Motorola Moto G72 specifications
Motorola has been teasing the Moto G72 for the past few days. It had already revealed most of the device’s key specs ahead of today’s launch. The handset features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a billion colors (10-bit). The screen has a touch sampling rate of 576Hz and also boasts HDR10 with a DCI-P3 color gamut. You get 1300 nits of brightness as well. Motorola has included an in-display fingerprint scanner below the screen. Under the hood is MediaTek’s 6nm Helio G99 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It isn’t the best processor you’d get in this segment, but Motorola had to cut corners somewhere. Moving on, the company has paired the chipset with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage. A 5,000mAh battery fuels this phone, with 33W fast wired charging support. Motorola does include the charger in the box. For photos and videos, the Moto G72 boasts a 108MP primary camera at the back. You get camera features like Dual Capture, Spot Color, Pro Mode,360 Degree Panorama, Portrait Mode, Night Vision, Digital Zoom, and HDR. The main sensor is flanked by an 8MP ultrawide lens that also doubles up as a depth Sensor. The phone includes a 2MP macro camera as well. The tiny hole on the display houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. Other highlights include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, near-stock Android 12 software, and Motorola’s business-grade ThinkShield for security for mobile. Note that there’s no 5G cellular connectivity here, though you do get 3-carrier aggregation and 2×2 MIMO (multiple input, multiple output). The handset boasts an IP52 water-repellent design, though you should avoid exposing it to water. It may protect you from accidental spillage but not prolonged exposure or submersion.
