These Xiaomi & Redmi devices will get MIUI 13 in Q1 2022
The company listed the devices that will get MIUI 13 in the first quarter of this year. So, at some point from today, and the end of March, all of these devices should get access to MIUI 13. We are, of course, talking about global versions of these phones. In regards to Xiaomi devices, eight of them are listed here, along with one tablet. Those devices are the Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11 Lite 5G, and Mi 11 Lite. The Xiaomi 11T is also listed, alongside the 11T Pro, and 11 Lite 5G NE. The Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet will also get it in Q1 2022. Xiaomi also said that the update is coming to quite a few Redmi phones. The Redmi Note 11, Note 11S, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro 5G come with MIUI 13 pre-installed. The Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, Note 10 JE, Note 8 (2021), and Redmi 10 are also in line to get it in Q1. Those are all devices that the company mentioned. Do note that the second wave will bring MIUI 13 to even more phones. A lot more devices will get the update.
MIUI 13 is most focused on optimizations
MIUI 13 focused more on optimizations than anything else. There are a couple of new features included, such as the ‘Sidebar’ feature for multitasking purposes. Still, Xiaomi put great focus on making things run as smoothly as possible. The company made MIUI 13 more battery efficient, and it also handles RAM a lot better now. MIUI 13 will make sure that the apps you use frequently end up being readily available, in memory. Those that you don’t will get a different treatment.
