There’s even a little bit of simulation wrapped up in there as you can expand on your mansion, à la Fallout Shelter where you can build up your vault. While there’s a lot for you to do in this game, it seems the hero collection and mansion expansion are core parts of the gameplay. As you’ll need stronger allies to help you in tougher battles. And a mansion with more rooms and more powerful upgrades to assist in your efforts of “dominating the kingdom.”
Heroes Of The Dark is free-to-play
Like many of Gameloft’s games, Heroes Of The Dark is a free-to-play game with optional in-game purchases. It’s unclear how much the game relies on you needing to spend any money, but so far the rating for the game is good. That being said, the reviews are mixed. There’s quite a few high-star reviews. But there are no shortage of complaints about the game trying to shoehorn you into spending real money to get better heroes or upgrades. Whether or not that’s entirely true is something you’d need to find out for yourself. Worth noting is that many of the players do seem to enjoy the gameplay. Especially with its dark gothic themes.
Online multiplayer includes PvE and PvP content
There appears to be a lot of solo content, but there’s also some online multiplayer if you want to play with friends. And the multiplayer content seems to include both PvE and PvP. Which means you should have the chance to engage in story-related encounter that offer tougher challenges with other players. Or you can battle other players and see who has the strongest teams. You can also unlock stronger gear and upgrade your heroes to be more powerful. While also unlocking stronger abilities. All-in-all it seems like a decent game if you need a new free title to pass the time. If you’re interested in checking it out, you can pick it up from the Play Store.
