The leaked 3C documentation lists the 15W EP-TA200 charger for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the 25W EP-TA800 charger. While the document confirms that the smartphone is compatible with both charging speeds, it doesn’t specify if the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will come with a 25W charger in the box. As SamMobile points out, Samsung is likely to include a 15W charger in the box to cut costs. This revelation about support for 25W charging is significant since it was previously believed that the phone might only support up to 15W. The battery charging speed will be crucial for the smartphone since it only offers a capacity of 3,300 mAh.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be revealed on August 11 at Galaxy Unpacked
Samsung could use the high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 (5nm) chipset on the Galaxy Z Flip 3. This, coupled with the 120Hz display, could lead to significant battery drain in a short time. This is where the 25W charging option could come in handy. Regardless, the smaller battery is a bit of a letdown for fans. This is because the battery life on the original Galaxy Z Flip was not impressive either. However, Samsung will hope to ease the troubles to a certain degree with 25W fast charging capabilities. A recent leak revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 could feature a 6.7-inch internal display along with a 1.9-inch cover display. This makes it fairly identical to its predecessor. We also learned that the smartphone would offer twin 12-megapixel rear cameras and a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will launch on August 11 during Galaxy Unpacked. Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 3 during this event. This phone will pack a 7.6-inch internal display and a 6.2-inch cover display. It will likely have a trio of 12-megapixel rear cameras along with a 10-megapixel cover selfie camera and a 4-megapixel primary selfie camera. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will also sport the Snapdragon 888 chipset, putting it among the top smartphones to watch out for.
