Among the more prominent of the announcements at this year’s event is PerfectFill. The technology has already been unveiled at previous events but will become available this year for purchase, the company says. And, briefly, works via a connected drain and valve kit that helps users draw their perfect bath the first time. Namely, with settings for temperature and bath depth, when paired with compatible Kohler baths and spouts, with professional installation. Two models will be available this year, although both were already announced in 2021. Namely, the Kohler Stillness bath and an Infinity Experience model. The Stillness bath, Kohler says, comes with PerfectFill technology as well as control for water, lighting, fog, and aroma for a “home spa-like experience.” The latter adds an overflow base made of hinoki wood. That effectively adds a waterfall feature to the edges of the bath, recycling water that’s deliberately overflowing into the base.
What else does Kohler have for your smart home needs at CES 2022?
Beyond the bathtub, Kohler also revealed a smart lockbox for the bathroom, dubbed the Robern IQ Digital Lock Box. Designed to fit in a bathroom vanity cabinet, the lockbox is intended to store medication and other private personal items. For security, the box comes with a touchpad panel and app for setting and keeping the password safe. Entry logging and open box alerts are also part of the package. As well as scheduling and medication reminders. For sink control, conversely, Kohler announced a line of new Touchless Residential Bathroom Faucets. The faucets can be turned on or off at the wave of a hand and feature twist-top controls for temperature. As well as automatic shut-off features, a vacation mode, and battery-powered operation. Turning to the kitchen, Kohler has a new faucet dubbed the Purist Suspend, which takes the faucet off of your countertop. More precisely, by bringing it down from the ceiling. Purist Suspend comes with hands-free water control. As well as a waterproof Bluetooth puck, which itself can be used to turn the faucet on or off and control temperature. The puck is battery-powered. Lastly, Kohler has unveiled a product it calls the Kohler Power Reserve. As its branding implies, Kohler Power Reserve is an energy storage system meant for solar or otherwise alternate energy-source homes. And, as with other products announced today, that includes app-controlled monitoring and control over the power flow. With systems starting out with a 10kWh storage capacity.
Pricing and availability
In terms of pricing and availability, not all of the specifics have been laid out just yet. Although, Kohler has provided more details than were previously available for its smart home products at CES 2022. Kohler PerfectFill, for instance, starts out at $2,700, not including professional installation or compatible bath and spout equipment. The entire package, including a compatible bath — via the above-mentioned Stillness Bath or Infinity Experience — starts out at $8,000. That will be available in Q1 2022. With other models becoming available in Q3 2022. Conversely, the Robern IQ Digital Lock Box is set to cost $449. While the Kohler Touchless Residential Bathroom Faucets will start out at $199. Although no exact availability information has been provided, as of this writing. No pricing or availability details have been included for the Kohler Purist Suspend, either. But the Kohler Power Reserve will start out at $13,325 for a 10kWh system. Among the other announcements for CES 2022, Kohler also unveiled launch dates for previously revealed products. Namely, the H2Wise powered by Phyn will launch this month. The product, designed to monitor in-home water lines and watch for leaks, among other things, will start out at $400. There will also be a professionally-installed variant, the H2Wise Plus, starting from $667.
