This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster. He shared the information via Weibo, along with some additional spec information for the device.

The HONOR 80 Pro+ to feature a 200MP camera & 100W charging

He says that the phone will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display which will be “flexible”. By that he means curved, not foldable, just to be clear. So, the sides will be curved, as they are on many flagship Android phones these days. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is said to fuel this smartphone, which is rather interesting. We’d expect the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 at this point in time. Not only because it’s a newer chip, but because it’s considerably better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, especially in the power consumption department. The HONOR 80 Pro+ is also said to feature 12GB of RAM. Now, the HONOR 80 is also expected to arrive, with the Dimensity 1080 SoC. The HONOR 80 Pro is said to utilize the Snapdragon 778G processor.

Three HONOR 80 devices are expected to arrive by the end of the year

The entire HONOR 80 series of smartphones is expected to launch in China by the end of the year. They will likely go global, as the HONOR 70 series did. We’re just not sure when will that happen. We’re expecting a similar design language to the HONOR 70 series, but we could be wrong. HONOR has been utilizing that design for several generations now, so it may be time for a change. We’ll have to wait for the devices to leak out to know more about it. HONOR did a great job with the HONOR 70 series design-wise, so we do have high expectations for these phones.
