The Google Pixel Watch specifications are… interesting
The Google Pixel Watch comes with a round face, and a rotating crown on the side, which doubles as a button. There is also one secondary button tucked away on the right side. That being said, let’s get down to the details. The Pixel Watch features a 1.2-inch OLED display (320 PPI, up to 1,000 nits of brightness), which is, of course, touch-friendly. That display is protected by custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass. The Samsung Exynos 9110 SoC fuels this smartphone, and is packed inside alongside a Cortex-M33 co-processor. The watch is compatible with Android 8.0 and up. Google decided to include 2GB of RAM inside of this watch, along with 32GB of internal storage. The company’s WearOS 3.5 software comes here out of the box.
It supports wireless charging & has a number of health features
A 300mAh battery sits on the inside, and powers the watch. You also get a charging cradle in the box, along with a charging cable. The Pixel Watch does support wireless charging, by the way. It does support Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi as well. An NFC chip is also included on the inside, as is a GPS unit. Speaking of sensors, you’ll also find a heart rate sensor on the inside. ECG and SpO2 readings are also supported. Google decided not to skimp out on the health features. There are two different models of the watch available. The Pixel Watch comes in Wi-Fi only, and Wi-Fi + LTE variants. The only difference between them is that one has support for LTE, and the other does not. The LTE one is more expensive, of course. A speaker is built into the watch. It is well-equipped with sensors as well. The standard ones such as a compass, altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor are included. In addition to that, you’ll find a Blood oxygen sensor here, and the same goes for an optical heart rate sensor, and a multipurpose electrical sensor.
Three different case colors are available
The Pixel Watch comes in three colors: Matte Black Stainless Steel, Polished Silver Stainless Steel, and Champagne Gold Stainless Steel. Those are its case colors, of course. Basic bands are called ‘Active Bands’, and come in Obsidian, Charcoal, Chalk, and Hazel colors. Specific Pixel Watch comes with the closes Active Band color, by the way. Speaking of the case, it’s made out of 80-percent recycled stainless steel. Active Bands are made out of Fluoroelastomer with soft-touch coating. Other watch bands will be available, such as Woven and Leather ones. Do note that the Pixel Watch has a proprietary connector. This watch is 5 ATM rated, which means it can go below the water surface up to 50 meters, for up to 10 minutes. Google’s Pixel Watch measures 41mm in diameter, and it’s 12.3mm thick. It weighs 36 grams without the band.
