How the in-line threading feature helps Google Chat
If a person says something that you want to reply directly to or if they ask a question, instead of cluttering the main chat, you can just reply to it in a thread. That thread will be sequestered to its own section where that conversation can flourish. This leaves the main chat open for other discussions. This can also help avoid confusion. If a person mentions or asks a question, and you reply to it a few messages down, it’ll be hard to know if you’re answering that question or replying to the message immediately before yours. It’s just another minor convenience to help this platform. People deeply rooted in the Google ecosystem will definitely use this platform for messaging. However, there is stiff competition in the form of WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, etc. Having the in-line threading feature of Google Chat will help it hold its own against the giants.

Spaces previously only held up to 400 people. Now, they can hold up to 8,000 people. That seems a bit overkill. Most companies wouldn’t even need the 400, to be honest. This is of course for larger enterprises not smaller startups. Regardless, it’s still a great thing to have.
