The global HONOR X9 variant has been announced, and it looks different than the HONOR X8
This device does look different compared to the HONOR X8, as it has a considerably different rear camera module. The HONOR X9 does offer 5G support, and it comes with an interesting spec sheet. Before we get down to that, let’s see what the phone looks like. As you can see, its bezels are quite thin, while a centered display camera hole is also included. Its display is flat, and a circular camera module sits on the back.
The phone features a 6.81-inch fullHD+ (2388 x 1080) FullView display with a 94-percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 695 fuels the device, and that’s a 6nm processor, in case you’re wondering. The phone was announced in both 6GB and 8GB RAM models. The 6GB RAM variant includes 128GB of storage, while you can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage flavors for the 8GB RAM variant.
A rather large battery is included here, with 66W charging support
A 4,800mAh battery is also included in the package, and the device supports 66W fast charging. That is wired charging, while wireless charging is not supported by the HONOR X9. A 48-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture) is backed by a 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4 aperture), and a 2-megapixel bokeh camera (f/2.4 aperture). Android 11 comes pre-installed, while Magic UI 4.2 sits on top of it. There are two SIM card slots included here (2x nano SIM), while a side-facing fingerprint is also a part of the package. Bluetooth 5.1 is also a part of the package, as is a Type-C USB port (2.0). The HONOR X9 measures 166.07 x 75.78 x 8.05mm, and weighs 189 grams. The device comes in Titanium Silver, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black colors. The HONOR X9 first becomes available in Malaysia, but more markets should join in on the fun in the near future. That is, at least, what is expected, as HONOR didn’t mention any other markets thus far.
