This is not the first time we’re seeing the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 being listed online. The device appeared on Geekbench in the past, while its renders also surfaced. So this phone is not exactly a mystery.
The Galaxy XCover Pro 2 gets listed online under a different name
What’s interesting about the Google Play Console listing is that it suggests a different name for the device. The device did get listed under the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 name, but the listing says that its marketing name could be ‘Galaxy XCover6 Pro’. Its marketing name, of course, suggests the name that Samsung will use to sell the phone. That’s a rather odd twist, but there you have it, you’ll likely be able to buy it under that name. In any case, the device will feature a U-shaped dewdrop notch. It also has a button at the top, and two cameras on the back. Its bottom bezel will be thicker than the rest of them. The power/lock button on the right will double as a fingerprint scanner. The volume up and down buttons will also be located on the right side.
You can expect it to include 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 778G SoC
According to the Google Play Console listing, the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 will feature 6GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 778G will fuel the device, as the Qualcomm SM7325 chipset has been mentioned. You can expect the phone to offer a fullHD+ (2408 x 1080) resolution display. Based on some previous info, the phone will feature a 6.56-inch AMOLED display, and it will be flat. Android 12 will come pre-installed on the device, along with Samsung’s One UI skin, of course. That’s pretty much everything that got revealed at this point. We’re not sure when exactly will this phone see the light of day, but it’s coming later this year.
