The Galaxy S22 Ultra seemingly won’t deliver major camera hardware boost
According to the source, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature a pair of 10-megapixel telephoto cameras on the back, just like the Galaxy S21 Ultra. One of them is said to offer 10x optical zoom, while the details on the second are still not known, but we’re probably looking at 3x optical zoom capability. Now, the source did not share any information on the phone’s main camera sensor. Chances are it will be a 108-megapixel one, though. It remains to be seen if a new sensor will be announced for that purpose by the end of this year. That 108-megapixel camera will be provided by ISOCELL; so from Samsung itself. Samsung has a tendency to announce new cameras towards the end of the year, so we’ll probably get a new one this time around as well.
Some details regarding the entire Galaxy S22 series leaked recently
Now, some information regarding the entire Galaxy S22 series did surface recently. According to a recent leak, the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra will feature 6.06-inch (LTPS) fullHD+, 6.55-inch (LTPS) fullHD+, and 6.81-inch (LTPO) QHD+ displays, respectively. All three phones will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. Some battery-related information also popped up recently. The three devices are said to pack in 3,800mAh, 4,600mAh, and 5,000mAh battery packs. 65W fast wired charging was also mentioned. Wireless charging will also be included, but we don’t have any details regarding that just yet. The Snapdragon 898 will likely fuel all three phones in most markets, while the Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU will step in as well. We’re just not sure which markets exactly will that chip replace the Snapdragon 898. The Galaxy S22 series is expected to drop in Q1 2022.
