The Galaxy S22 dummy unit appeared
Truth be said, this dummy unit is plain basic. It only shows the general shape of the device, with likely precise dimensions. There are no details here, like the color, pattern, cameras, none of it. This is as plain of a dummy unit as it gets. Truth be said, leaked CAD images showed us far more than this. Still, this is a real dummy unit, so whoever handled it, has a good idea how large the phone will be. We know the dimensions, but this shows you the device in-hand. Speaking of which, the Galaxy S22 is said to feature a 6.06-inch display, and measure 146 x 70.5 x 7.6mm. It will resemble its predecessor, when it comes to overall design language. The Galaxy S22 will once again include a camera housing that is an extension of its frame. That is a design language that Samsung started with the Galaxy S21 series. Only the Galaxy S22 and S22+ will utilize it, though, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will opt for a different design, it seems.
The phone will likely include a smaller display & battery
The Galaxy S22 will likely include a frame made out of metal, though its backplate could be plastic, we’ll see. The device will include a smaller display than the Galaxy S21, and it will also ship with a smaller battery, a 3,700mAh unit. The next-gen Snapdragon and Exynos SoCs will fuel the device, though you won’t be able to choose between them, of course. Samsung will include one or the either depending on where you live / buy the device. Android 12 is expected to come pre-installed on the Galaxy S22 series, along with the company’s One UI skin. The Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch in January.
