Samsung Galaxy M22 specifications
The Galaxy M22 shares most of its specs with the Galaxy A22, except for 25W fast charging. It packs the same 5,000mAh battery as the Galaxy A22 but supports significantly faster 25W charging speeds via USB Type-C. The latter tops up at 15W. The product landing page on Samsung Germany’s website mentions the Galaxy M22 to feature a 22-megapixel front-facing camera. But looking into the spec details on the same website reveals a 13-megapixel camera on the front. If the latter is true, then we have nothing separating the two phones in the camera department as the quad-camera setup on the back is unchanged. We have a 48-megapixel primary shooter, 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device can record Full HD videos at 30fps (frames per second) and supports 10X digital zoom. The Galaxy M22 also sports the same 6.4-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). Under the hood, we have the MediaTek Helio G80. It is a 12nm chipset with two ARM Cortex-A75 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz while the six Cortex-A55 cores are running at 1.8GHz. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable by up to 1TB via a micro SD card. Samsung may also offer this phone with 6GB of RAM in some markets though. Other notable specs and features include a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, and Samsung Knox security platform. The Galaxy M22 runs Android 11 out of the box, with the company’s One UI Core on top. The handset has a dimension of 159.9 x 74.0 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186 grams. Samsung is offering this phone in black, blue, and white colors. The plastic rear panel has vertical grooves that give the phone an interesting look. Otherwise, the Galaxy M22 doesn’t look any different from the Galaxy A22 for obvious reasons. It’s unclear when the new Galaxy M series mid-ranger will be available elsewhere.
