When you open up the Facebook app, you’re greeted by a stream of content that’s algorithmically chosen for you. This is all based on the kind of content that you view on the platform.
Now, the Facebook Feeds tab will show you content from those you follow
In a Facebook post, company CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained just what this feed is and how it can help the overall experience. “…today we’re launching a Feeds tab where you can see posts from your friends, groups, Pages and more separately in chronological order.” When you open up the Android or iOS app, you’ll see the Feeds tab on the bottom toolbar. When you open up the tab, you’ll see a stream of content from your friends, pages you follow, groups, favorites. Based on the post, Facebook wants to use the Feeds tab to help you not miss any important posts. The fact that this feed lists the content in chronological order should be a plus for people. People typically prefer a chronological feed over a curated one. By default, when you open up the tab, you’ll see content from all everything that you follow. If you want to refine your search to only include search results from specific sources, you can. There are subsections within the tab where you can choose what you want to see. There’s a Friends, Groups, Favorites, and Groups section that you can tap on. The Facebook Feeds tab is rolling out to both the Android and the iOS app, so you should be able to see it if you’re on the app. If you don’t see it, then you’ll need to wait a couple of days.
