The Black Shark 5 series is now available in a number of regions, including the following countries: United States, Canada, Australia, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and more. Black Shark did share prices for the two devices, but do note that they may vary from one region to the next. The Black Shark 5 comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, with 128GB and 256GB of storage, respectively. The 8GB RAM model is priced at $/€549, £439, depending on the region, while the 12GB RAM model costs $/€649, £529.
The Black Shark 5 Pro is available with up to 16GB of RAM
In the case of the ‘Pro’ model, it’s coming in three variants. The most affordable model includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That variant is priced at $/€799, £639. The 12GB RAM model includes 256GB of storage, and costs $/€899, £729. The ‘Pro’ variant even comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and it’s priced at $/€999, £809.
Advanced cooling is available, along with 144Hz displays
Having said that, these two phones have a lot to offer. They include magnetic pop-up triggers, which have been upgraded this time around. You’re also getting a 144Hz display, and anti-gravity dual-VC cooling. On top of that 120W fast charging is also supported. Both phones are powerful, but the ‘Pro’ model does come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, compared to the Snapdragon 870 SoC. Both phones include a 4,650mAh battery, and dual stereo speakers. That 144Hz Samsung E4 display that is included in both phones does have a 720Hz touch sampling rate in this case. LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage are included in both devices, by the way.
The ‘Pro’ variant does come with a more powerful camera setup
The ‘Pro’ variant does offer a better camera setup than the regular model, with a 108-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The Black Shark 5 includes a 64-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The displays on both phones are pressure-sensitive, and they measure 6.67 inches. Both displays are identical, and they’re fullHD+ panels, while they do get quite bright (1,300 nits peak brightness).
